Donations help the Museum’s work in preserving and sharing the important heritage of the Kauri and Matakohe’s pioneer past. Through the Otamatea Kauri & Pioneer charitable trust, donations of over $5.00 may be tax deductible.If you would like to make a special donation or corporate sponsorship, please feel welcome to discuss your thoughts with the Museum’s management team.
Become a Kauri Friend
Kauri Friends are passionate about the pioneering heritage of Matakohe and the history of the Kauri.With an annual subscription, Friends of The Kauri Museum experience a more personal interaction with the Museum and are entitled to free admission, enjoy a 5% discount on shop purchases (excluding stamps and delivery) and a receive a museum membership card and quarterly newsletter.
Bequeath
A bequest is an easy way to support the Museum and a lasting legacy. If you wish, you can direct the Museum on how you would like your financial contribution to be managed.A financial bequest can be arranged privately by naming the Otamatea Kauri & Pioneer Museum Trust in your will, however the Museum team prefer to be able to express their sincere thanks in person and would encourage you to contact us. Bequeathing of objects needs to be arranged prior with the Museum in accordance with our collections policy.
