Kauri Museum

The Kauri Museum in Northland, New Zealand is a 2 hour drive from Auckland, or a 1 hour drive from Whangarei – 20 minutes from the Brynderwyn turn off on SH12. The Museum is en-route to the ancient kauri trees within the Waipoua Forest.
Public transport
Te Wai Ora Coachlines run a bus service between Auckland and Dargaville that stops at the Museum. Alternatively, Intercity run a bus service between Auckland and the Bay of Islands that will stop on request at the Brynderwyns if you wish to also book a separate transfer service with the Museum ($50.00 per person, including Museum admission).
