Kauri_Archive

Along with significant collections of operational machinery, natural history specimens and social history artefacts, The Kauri Museum holds extensive documentary and photographic archives relating to the kauri forests and the timber and gum industries.

The Museum is also guardian to archives relating to the family histories and genealogies of the early European families of the old Otamatea District, and maintains a comprehensive and informative reference library.

Our archives are open between 9.00AM and 5.00PM during week days. Enquiries are welcome, with visits by appointment.

Research assistance by Collections staff is free for the first half hour with a fee of $25.00 per half hour thereafter.
